Back to School program gets under way

It’s never too soon to make plans for a new school year, so Together We Cope is kicking off its annual Back to School campaign now.

The program that serves hundreds of area youngsters in need provides each with a new backpack filled with essential school supplies, plus some teacher requests for things like paper towels, and sanitizer and antiseptic wipes.

Over the years this campaign has become self-supporting because of the generosity of donors in the 27 communities we serve.  A donation of $50 will sponsor one child in this program, while $100 benefits two children. Monetary donations are especially appreciated this year as we don’t have the space to store donated backpacks or school supplies while our main office remains closed for fire renovations.  Further information is with Trina Arvetis at 708-633-5040.
