Spring cleaning the ‘Sensible’ wayDoes the arrival of warm weather put you in house cleaning mode? Got the If so, Together We Cope offers you a solution to the dilemma of where to put all that stuff. Donate it to TWC’s resale shop, The Sensible Shop, at 17010 South Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park. There, it will get a new life as shoppers looking for little treasures find a use for your items. And it will generate revenue for Together We Cope, a nonprofit agency that provides temporary assistance to families in crisis from the south suburbs. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, and donors will receive receipts for their contributions. The shop’s hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 2 to 7 p.m. on Thursday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Donations can be brought to the back door of the shop during those hours. Further information is available at (708) 633-9180. The shop accepts gently used clothing, including shoes, and all types of household items. Men’s clothing is always welcome, as are kitchen utensils and linens.
