A gourmet dinner prepared by a New Lenox couple and served by two local dignitaries is among many items to be auctioned during Together We Cope's annual dinner dance March 5 at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park. This year's dinner dance Star Sponsor is AT&T.

1.	John and Pat Slack of New Lenox stand in front of a buffet table they prepared for a recent Together We Cope event kicking off the agency’s annual dinner dance. They will prepare a six-course dinner for six as an auction item at this year’s dinner March 5 at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park.John and Pat Slack, volunteers at Together We Cope, will prepare a six-course dinner for a party of six. Dinner will be served by State Sen. Maggie Crotty (D-19th) and Kathryn Straniero, executive director of Together We Cope. The dinner will be presented at a location mutually agreed upon, including the option of the senator's home. The Slacks have prepared meals for various fundraisers, including Together We Cope events.

Other dining items to be auctioned at the dinner are Guest Chef for a Day at Charlie Trotter's in Chicago, wine tasting party for 10 at Cooper's Hawk Winery in Tinley Park, and gift certificates to many local restaurants. Many other items are available for bidding at live and silent auction, including airline tickets, use of vacation condos, jewelry, sports collectibles and 50 gift baskets.2. Tickets for the dinner dance are $75 per person and are available from Karen Moran at (708) 633-5040. The event is a major fundraiser for Together We Cope, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that assists families in temporary crisis from 22 south suburban communities.
